Submissions for 2025

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The 2025 Conference organizing committee welcomes submissions for abstracts to be included in either the guidebook only or both the conference and guidebook. Abstracts for oral presentations should focus on base metal deposits in New Jersey’s Proterozoic crust, although related topics are also welcome. Posters are intended to facilitate networking and provide graduate and undergraduate students with an opportunity to present their work. Prizes will be awarded in both the undergraduate and graduate poster sessions. Paper submissions offer the opportunity for more extensive discussions or data-intensive presentations (accommodations can be made for an online repository or supplementary data).

Abstracts

Abstracts and abstracts for oral presentation submissions should align with the theme of the Sterling Hill orebody but may also cover other relevant geological topics (mining history in the Northeast, Franklin ore body, Franklin Marble, Zn mining in the Northeast, Proterozoic crustal evolution of the Northeast, etc). We ask the author to indicate if they would like to be considered for an oral presentation. Abstracts may include figures and tables.

Papers

Paper submissions should align parameters listed in the abstract section above. Paper submissions are expected to be more extensive with respect to analysis and data. Papers should be limited to 20 pages. For large datasets or method sections, accommodations can be made for
open online supplemental access.

Posters

Students of the NJ, NY and PA area are highly encouraged to present posters which can be any topic of interest. Awards for student posters will be decided by the conference committee and presented at the conference. Please provide abstracts by September 15th for publication in the conference guidebook; posters can be offered without published abstract.
